Hieee,
Sorry I haven't been online for a while. I've been as busy as a wheel of late, between Chrissi which was just lovely I might add..Enjoyed our Staycation at home & hanging out on our deck..Missed my family of course but spoke on the phone quite alot. Mid Feb I had a family rellie visit from home & we had a really lovely time.
Still working full time & still loving the wonderful world of commuting on the good 'ol reliable public transport...I sooo need to get a laptop as it would be a fab opportunity to work on my prints & updating my posts etc...I'll start saving! after I pay the bills which needless to say is not exactly around the corner but that's alright at least it will give me something to strive & look forward to. I'll continue to use my trusty home computer at ridiculous hours! until that time & when I get it I will sooooooooo appreciate it.
I've been really enjoying my illustrations/prints in between the normal madness life loves throw our way and when time permits I'll paint those pieces of furniture I keep meaning to get around to! My daughter painted a roadside find the other day - She's 4 so the ground sucked up more paint than the chair but she had a ball..
Ciao for now..I will upload some pics of our staycation soon x

My Art Sketches
Femme Belles - I drew these up last night whilst waiting on an album of mine to upload.. I'm just starting to enjoy drawing again & I'm also enjoying playing around with the basic computer graphics to try and enhance them! Doilies are a recent fad of mine also..how strange. Once upon a time I looked upon them as ridiculously old fashioned..

Before & After: Vintage Chair
Vintage Chair Revamp
This is a chair I found at the side of the road. Thought it had heaps of potential, pulled up, rescued it & I made it fit into the boot of my car! I will supply the After pics soon....Vintage Little Miss
1. Put masking tape around the edges to protect the cane from getting paint on it (front & back)
2. Removed the chair base & then removed the original fabric. 5000 staples later!!!
3. Used the chair base as a template to cut a pattern from the fabric.

B&A: Vintage Dressing Table
Before & After Vintage Dressing Table

Vintage Dressing Table/Duchess: I purchased this little cutie from ebay a while ago for $25.00. Just started on it this weekend. Very exciting, why who knows as I could seriously be arrested by the fashion police! Sander, Dust Mask, Paint Clothes & Safety Goggles to boot! I began by re-attaching one of the legs, gave it a good sanding all over (inside & out!) & a couple of layers of paint (water based - better for the environment!) Pic's are as follows....
